Centennial Celebration Timeline
March is Rotary’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Month, and our club marked the occasion with a meaningful Centennial Service Project. Throughout February, we partnered with Help a Girl Out USA to collect feminine hygiene products and diapers for organizations serving families across Berks County.

Help a Girl Out USA is a grassroots initiative dedicated to restoring dignity and providing essential support to women and girls in Berks and Schuylkill counties. Their mission aligns beautifully with Rotary’s commitment to improving health, access, and opportunity in our communities.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us make a difference. Small acts of care create big waves of impact—and together, we’re helping ensure that every woman and girl has access to the essentials she deserves.
Thank you to all who came out to our Centennial Dinner
at the Astor Event Center on April 1, 2026
Everyone had a wonderful time with the party theme of Roaring 20's and a scrumptious dinner at a very lovely venue.

District Governor Mary Cook gave an interesting speech that shed some light on why so many clubs in our district are turning 100 years around this time. Marty Helman, a Rotary Foundation Board Trustee, gave a moving speech on why she became a Rotarian and what it means to be able to help people world-wide through Rotary. Marty has served Rotary as chair of the Peace Major Gifts Initiative and as a member of the working group that selected the site for the Rotary Peace Center at Bahçeşehir University. She is also director-elect for zones 28 and 32.

The evening was emcee'd by current Kutztown Rotary President, Rose Galeano-Phillips. During the program, the Club received a special citation from the Kutztown Mayor, Jim Schlegel and Bob Hobaugh and Erin Bailey presented an interesting rendition of the Kutztown Rotary Club history. A special thank you was issued to Florita Hobaugh and the centennial dinner committee for a successful event. After the program, the evening dancing opened up with a costume contest and a Charleston dance lesson.
